there will be a church meeting 3/8/09

There will be an admin. board meeting this Sunday after the service. It will be in reference to using the fellowship hall by the N.A to hold their meetings. Ian will present what he knows and will open the floor to hear opinions on whether or not this will be something we are comfortable with St. Paul doing or not.

If you were absent last Sunday, and are a member and did NOT vote for the light issue, please do so. We will count the votes and make a decision based on what the votes say. Your opinion counts. All voting will remain anonymous.

St. Paul will host this Sunday the Lenten community wide service. It starts at 6pm, and there will be finger foods to follow in the fellowship hall after the service.

DeSoto Laity will hold a meeting Tuesday, March 17th at 6:30 at Walker's Chapel.

Be sure to check out the ceiling of the sanctuary, as it was painted this past week to cover up the water spots.
AND, check out what a great job Hershel and Carl did on the inner sanctuary doors. They installed a door that has a window in it. Looks nice!

There will be no Bible study this Sunday night, in lieu of having the Lent service. We will resume normal bible study for Sunday nights for adults and youth from 5pm-5:50 during lent so everyone has a chance to go to the location of the next service.

In our busy days and weeks ahead, spring breaks coming up, spring fever striking again, the Bible said "Be still, and Know that I am God."
How difficult sometimes it can be to just take a moment to be still. Completely and totally still, even for 5 minutes and realize that we are in control of nothing, and it is all God. Everything is about HIM, and we need to daily take the time to reflect and thank Him for how amazing He really is in our lives.

Grace and Peace.
See you Sunday
