This week, April 20th

There is a church singing/covered dish tonight (Sunday) starting at 6pm. Melody Men are playing, and it should be a good time. Please don't let the weather deter you!

Please keep Odessa Evans in your prayers this week. We give thanks to the Lord for the blessed opportunity to have known Mamie Keith. We are grateful to the time she was with us, and she has definitely left some big shoes for all of us to try and fill. God has blessed her in her life, and there is no doubt where she is spending her Sunday, at the feet of Jesus! How awesome!
Praise reports: Suzy's mom did awesome in surgery and they sent her home an hour after surgery!!! Jack's daughter Christy is doing well from surgery.
Please keep Amanda Cooley in your prayers. She is 23 and has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer. She was Ian's first youth from Brookwood, and this is difficult to see. Also, be in constant prayer for Rodney. He shipped to TX last week, and will be there for a few months training to get ready to go across the pond. He and all the other soldiers need our prayers.

Mission team meeting tonight at 5pm in the sanctuary. Meetings coming up are:
PPR Meeting Sunday April 26th, at 6pm right after Bible study. Worship team meets tentatively May 6th. Check back on that one. Evangelism team meets Thursday, May 7th at 6pm.

Desoto Laity is meeting this TUESDAY at 6:30 at Ider UMC. If you want to go, but don't want to drive all that way, call Suzy or Susan and we will take you.

Last Sunday was Easter, and we had approximately 108 people in attendance! GOD IS SO GOOD. Be sure to check Clifford's face for his sporty new look.

Greeters next week: Chuck and Donna
Ushers next week: Steve and Johnny Evans
Nursery Next week: Ken M. and Linda

LADIES:
The ladies of St. Paul are putting on a Baby Shower for Paula Evans. It will be Saturday April 25th from 10-11:30am. She is registered at Babies R Us, Target, and Walmart. She is having a girl-Carmen. :)

Be sure to check out the spiffy new side walk from the back of the church up to the parsonage, and around the parsonage...Looks great!

Grace and Peace!
